Baltimore County Police identified a man arrested in connection with the fatal shooting of a Towson University student earlier this month.
Reginald Gray Jr. is being held without bail at the county’s detention center, according to authorities. The 33-year-old man from Baltimore was charged with first degree murder and assault, as well as firearm use and illegal possession of a firearm.
Officials issued a warrant for his arrest on June 10.
Nasir Majied, 22, was driving northbound on York Road when another driver fired a weapon and struck him on June 5. Majied, who loved basketball and playing Wii, was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.
Authorities said on June 18 that Gray was last seen driving a 2007 Nissan Altima with tinted windows and a Virginia license plate. Gray was to be considered “armed and dangerous.” A motive for the shooting is unclear.
There will be a bond review hearing for Gray on Tuesday at 1 p.m. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for July.
