A celebration of stories, books, and writers that connect and inspire Maryland residents.

Let the Great World Spin meets My Name Is Lucy Barton in Jung Yun’s new novel set aboard an aging cruise ship bound for Bermuda, where growing tensions lead three strangers to confront their past regrets and imagine different futures.
“Yun, ever the craftswoman, has the ability to couple the tragic with the mundane. The exquisite wonder of All the World Can Hold is to witness the life moves of grandly but painfully realized characters.” — Edward P. Jones, Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Known World
Jung Yun lives in Baltimore with her husband and is an associate professor of English at the George Washington University. She serves on the board of directors of the PEN/Faulkner Foundation and is a fiction juror for the Dayton Literary Peace Prize.
Maya Lora is an early childhood education reporter who covers how Maryland can best support young children and their families, from pregnancy through kindergarten, a critical stage in brain development. Originally from Miami, she moved to Baltimore from the Lakeland Ledger, where she spent two years covering growth and development and Polk County government.
