Reeling from quarterback injuries and a three-game losing streak, the Ravens are reportedly finalizing a trade with the Arizona Cardinals for former starter Jacoby Brissett, according the NFL Network. Terms of the deal are unclear.

Brissett, 33, brings experience and veteran savvy to a room that lost star Lamar Jackson (thumb) and backup Tyler Huntley (toe) to potential season-ending injuries in Sunday’s loss to the Buffalo Bills. Brissett has started 73 games over his 11-year NFL career, including all eight this season for Arizona.

Brissett emerged as a potential trade target in league circles this week after he was benched late in the third quarter of the Cardinals’ eventual overtime win over the Dallas Cowboys. Gardner Minshew was named Arizona’s new starter Monday, and rookie Carson Beck the team’s new backup, relegating Brissett to the third string.

Undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano will start for the Ravens on Thursday night against the Jacksonville Jaguars, but Brissett would be in line to debut in Week 10 against the winless Los Angeles Chargers, potentially the Ravens’ fourth starting quarterback in as many weeks. The team’s playoff odds have dwindled after a 4-4 start, and the team has one of the NFL’s most difficult finishing schedules.

Brissett has completed 63.3% of his passes for 1,719 yards (5.6 per attempt), 10 touchdowns and seven interceptions this season. He has 29 carries for 87 yards, a touchdown and 16 first downs, a testament to his ability on sneaks. Among the 35 quarterbacks with at least 100 plays this season, Brissett ranks 24th in expected points added per play and 16th in success rate, according to RBSDM.com.

In Baltimore, Brissett will reunite with Ravens quarterbacks coach Israel Woolfork, who served in the same position last year in Arizona and worked with the former 2016 third-round pick.
