A man died after being gunned down in Rockville early Sunday morning, officials said.

Emergency personnel responded to the 1000 block of Seven Locks Road for a shooting just after 2 a.m., Montgomery County Police said in a news release.

A man, who has not been identified, had been shot and seriously injured, police said. Though medics rendered aid, the man died on the scene, officials said.

Montgomery County Police have not identified a suspect and continue investigating the incident.
