Several Dundalk High School students were among seven people injured when a car left a roadway in Dundalk on Friday afternoon and struck pedestrians, authorities said.
Baltimore County Fire officials said emergency personnel were called to the scene around 2:45 p.m.
The seven patients, at least six of whom were young people, were transported to hospitals with non-life-threatening injuries, Baltimore County Police said in a statement. The injured included Dundalk High students walking home, school officials shared in an email to parents and guardians. The school dismisses at 2:30 p.m.
Police are investigating.
Drivers can expect delays around Delvale and Holabird avenues, police said. The intersection is anchored by a Weis food market and gas station.
There have been at least 35 fatal crashes in Baltimore County this year, the second-highest number in the state, including around a dozen involving pedestrians, according to data from the Maryland Highway Safety Office.
