Montgomery County Public schools Superintendent Thomas Taylor made a bold commitment to reimburse county public school graduates for the cost of any remedial math and literacy courses at Montgomery College.

Most Montgomery County Public Schools parents would grade the district as an A or B. However, 34% of poll respondents said they believe the quality of public schools is getting worse.

While Montgomery County students outperformed their peers statewide overall, children in the county didn’t see the same level of progress as in some other districts.
