A crash in Greenbelt left a pedestrian dead Friday night.
Prince George’s County Police responded to the scene around 11:30 p.m. and pronounced the woman dead, according to police.
The driver of the striking car remained on the scene and is cooperating with investigators.
The crash occurred on the 8800 block of Greenbelt Road, which is close to the Nasa Goddard Space Flight Center.
Police said additional details will be made available by Monday.
It’s at least the 61st fatal crash in Prince George’s County this year, according to data from Maryland’s Department of Transportation.
