A 14-year-old was killed and an 18-year-old was injured in a shooting in West Baltimore on Monday afternoon, police said.
Officers responded to multiple reports of a shooting in the 1700 block of McCulloh Street in Upton around 4:20 p.m., according to the Baltimore Police Department. The two victims were found with gunshot wounds and transported to a hospital, where 14-year-old Kevin Warren died.
The 18-year-old, who has not been identified, is in stable condition, police said.
Police are investigating the shooting.
There have been 61 homicides in Baltimore so far this year, which is down from 81 at the same time last year, according to police data. Nonfatal shootings are mostly the same, at 188 so far in 2026 compared to 191 by this time in 2025.
