Baltimore County Police investigate fatal shooting of 21-year-old woman in Catonsville

Baltimore County Police are investigating a shooting in Catonsville that left a 21-year-old woman dead.

Officers responded to a home on Hillside Road, a residential street next to a park in Catonsville, around 3 p.m Thursday for reports of a shooting. They found a woman at the home with a gunshot wound.

Police on Friday identified the woman as Kaylie Logston. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

While investigating Logston’s death, officers learned that a man who was in a relationship with her had shot himself at a parking garage in the 10000 block of Wincopin Circle in Columbia. The man is being treated at an area hospital, police said.

According to Howard County Police, the man fired several shots in the air before shooting himself. There were no reports of property damage or other injuries.

Police said Monday the man was in critical condition, and that they were investigating the incident as a murder and attempted suicide.
