A judge on Monday sentenced Demari Brown of Montgomery Village to 45 years in prison in connection with the 2025 execution-style homicide of a man in Gaithersburg.
Circuit Court Judge Debra Dwyer also sentenced Brown, 21, to five years supervised probation upon his release, the Montgomery County State’s Attorney’s Office said in a statement.
In May, Brown entered a guilty plea to one count of first-degree murder for the death of 20-year-old Henry Krishawn Gilbert, who is also from Montgomery Village.
Gilbert was fatally shot on April 26, 2025. His body was found inside a green Honda Civic.
“He had been shot in the head, execution style, while sitting in his vehicle,” prosecutors said.
Brown and Jorden Hungerford, 20, were arrested for Gilbert’s death. An investigation determined that Hungerford posed as a female friend of the victim’sand, through social media, lured Gilbert by requesting to buy $70 worth of marijuana.
