Three weeks after he was reinstated by the NFL, former Ravens star Justin Tucker is still looking for a new team.

Tucker’s sudden departure has become a Rorschach test for Ravens fans, who before his miserable 2024 knew him mostly as the most accurate kicker in NFL history and a minor folk hero in Baltimore.

In a statement, Ravens general manager Eric DeCosta on Monday called it a “football decision” that was “incredibly difficult.”

No one made as many headlines during the NFL draft as Shedeur Sanders, but the Ravens at least gave it a shot.

At least one kicker has been drafted every year since 2012, except in 2015.

Team President Sashi Brown said the Ravens won’t make any decisions regarding Tucker until the NFL announces its findings.
