Three days after an ankle injury sidelined him in a win over the Tennessee Titans, quarterback Lamar Jackson was missing at practice Wednesday as the Ravens began their preparation for a primetime game against the Atlanta Falcons.

Coach Jesse Minter said at a Monday news conference that he didn’t know whether Jackson would be available to play Sunday at Mercedes-Benz Stadium. Jackson missed the second half of the Ravens’ win over Tennessee and left M&T Bank Stadium wearing a protective boot on his left foot, which he hurt on a sack late in the second quarter.

“We’re still gathering a lot of the information and the imaging and things like that, just dealing with a little bit of an ankle, and we’ll kind of see where that shakes out,” Minter said Monday. “Full trust and confidence in him that when it’s ready to roll that we’ll roll and go from there.”

If Jackson is unavailable Sunday, the Ravens would turn to backup Tyler Huntley, who went 2-0 as a starter last season and is 5-6 overall in his Ravens career.

The Ravens’ offense struggled against the Titans without Jackson, one of the NFL’s top players through the season’s first month. Jackson went 15-for-20 for 222 yards and two touchdowns as the offense rolled for 268 first-half yards. Huntley finished 8-for-9 for 63 yards, leading a conservative offense that had just 116 yards after halftime.

The Falcons rank No. 8 in defensive efficiency, according to FTN, and have won two straight games after an 0-2 start.

Wide receivers Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman, guard Andrew Vorhees (foot), outside linebacker Trey Hendrickson (finger), cornerback Marlon Humphrey (calf) and safety Kyle Hamilton were also missing at practice.

Minter is scheduled to address reporters after practice Wednesday afternoon. Jackson was not made available to the media before practice, as he typically is when healthy.
