ASHBURN, Va. — Jayden Daniels is coming back this week without any limitations.
Offensive coordinator David Blough said Daniels will be a “full go” against the New York Giants and will not be held back as he returns from a dislocated elbow.
“Happy to have him back,” Blough said.
Daniels missed the last two weeks after re-injuring his elbow against the Dallas Cowboys. He consulted specialists about next steps after the injury and decided against season-ending surgery.
He will wear a brace on his elbow to protect his non-throwing elbow, which he has hurt in three of the last four games he’s played.
Yesterday, Daniels said he had to “embrace the brace” and acknowledged he will wear it the remainder of the year.
“It is a part of me now,” he said.
Washington is 1-3 and 0-2 against divisional opponents. A loss to the Giants would move them to 0-3 in the division and significantly behind in the playoff race.
Head coach Dan Quinn said Washington’s status in the playoff race did not factor into Daniels’ timeline to return.
