Bozzuto is relocating its headquarters from Greenbelt to Howard County early next year

The residential real estate developer known for Anthem House and Liberty Harbor East in Baltimore is relocating its headquarters from Greenbelt to Howard County’s Maple Lawn early next year.

Bozzuto has signed a lease for a nearly 58,000-square-foot building in Maple Lawn starting in 2027, according to a news release Wednesday from St. John Properties.

The company plans to move 225 employees there. The 38-year-old company is currently headquartered in Prince George’s County.

“Maple Lawn offers an inspiring workplace, access to a vibrant business community and the flexibility to grow, while helping us attract and retain exceptional talent,” President and CEO Toby Bozzuto said in a statement.

The move, coupled with “other recent office investments,” reflects the company’s confidence in its continued growth, Bozzuto said.

The company, which specializes in apartment, condominium and mixed-use development as well as property management, currently operates in 22 states across the country. Bozzuto also operates a risk advisory and insurance brokerage.

Bozzuto manages 4.25 million square feet of retail space and 150,000 apartments across the country, according to the news release.

Maple Lawn in Fulton is a 605-acre mixed-use community that was developed by St. John Properties and Greenebaum Enterprises.

“St. John Properties and Bozzuto have a long history of working together, and we greatly appreciate the opportunity to deliver their new headquarters at Maple Lawn,” said Matt Lenihan, St. John’s executive vice president of leasing, in a statement.

Lenihan said Maple Lawn continues to attract companies because the community offers more than office space.

“The wide range of walkable amenities including restaurants, shops, grocery, recreation, and an onsite hotel are extremely attractive to businesses seeking to provide the best work environment for their employees,” Lenihan said.
