An empty school bus collided with two other vehicles in Prince George’s County on Friday morning, leaving one man dead, police said.
Officers responded to the crash at Indian Head Highway and Pine Drive in Accokeek around 7:20 a.m., according to a post from Prince George’s County Police Department.
The adult man driving one of the vehicles was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police. The bus driver, also an adult man, was taken to the hospital, and the third driver was treated at the scene of the crash.
The bus driver’s condition was not immediately clear.
There were no children on the school bus at the time of the crash. The northbound lane on Indian Head Highway was closed for about six hours, according to police.
The crash is under investigation.
