Maryland health officials are again warning of a possible measles exposure, this time after a person with measles from another state visited Ocean City over Labor Day weekend.

The Maryland Department of Health said in a news release Wednesday night that anyone who visited the following locations during the following dates and times could have been exposed:

  • Casablanca Oceanside Inn, 2408 Baltimore Ave., Ocean City, from 4 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 3, through noon on Sunday, Sept. 6
  • Buona Vita Pizzeria, 2100 Baltimore Ave., Ocean City, on Sept. 3 from 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Bonfire Restaurant, 7009 Coastal Highway, Ocean City, on Sept. 5 from 4:30 to 8 p.m.

According to the state health department, Maryland has had 40 confirmed cases of measles in 2026. That compares to three in 2025 and one each in 2024 and 2023.

State officials advise residents to review the potential exposure locations, watch for symptoms and confirm they are up to date on their measles, mumps and rubella vaccinations.
