Police arrested a father and daughter for their roles in the stabbing of a relative last week in Burtonsville.

William Andrew Dunn, 54, and Brittany Elaine Dunn, 24, are charged with attempted first-degree murder, first-degree assault and related offenses.

Montgomery County Police say the two attacked the victim inside their home on the 3700 block of Stepping Stone Lane on June 4. The victim also lived in the home, according to a news release from police.

Investigators found the victim had been stabbed in the upper chest during the assault. The victim survived, police said, but an update on their condition was not available.

William and Brittany Dunn were arrested in Rockville on Thursday and transported to the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit. They have preliminary hearings set for July 10 at the Montgomery County District Court in Rockville.
