Montgomery County Police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man in White Oak on Thursday afternoon.

The identity of the victim was not immediately released.

Police said on social media that the shooting happened at about 2:05 p.m. in the 1700 block of January Drive.

No suspect was taken into custody, police said.

The homicide marks the 10th of the year in the county and first since the June killing of Ashlei Jones. Gaithersburg’s Sean Robinson, who was her boyfriend, is charged with first-degree murder in connection with her death.
