A 50-year-old woman from Reisterstown died late Saturday night in Edgemere after a speeding truck crossed double yellow lines and struck their car head-on, authorities said.
Baltimore County police identified the person who died as Halina Tsishchanka.
Police said a preliminary investigation of the crash determined a Ford F-250 was traveling “at a high rate of speed” when it crossed double yellow lines and collided head on with the Lexus being driven by Tsishchanka at Point and Shaws roads shortly after 10 p.m.
Tsishchanka was pronounced dead at the scene. The name of the person driving the Ford was not released nor were their injuries reported.
The Baltimore County Police Department’s crash team is investigating the incident.
