Employee accused of stealing tens of thousands from St. Paul’s Schools over 2 years

A St. Paul’s Schools employee faces charges for allegedly stealing tens of thousands of dollars from the private Baltimore County schools over two years, records show.

Melanie Wagner, 52, of Parkton, was charged Wednesday with a felony by the Baltimore County state’s attorney.

Court records show Wagner is accused of stealing funds from the Episcopal school from July 20, 2023, through July 22, 2025.

The details of the investigation were not immediately made public. It was not clear from court records if Wagner had obtained a lawyer. A LinkedIn profile for Wagner said she is an accounting associate at the school.

St. Paul’s Schools did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The schools serve students from preschool through high school on a 130-acre campus in Timonium.
