Two separate shootings within a span of about three hours left one man dead and two others wounded across Baltimore early Saturday morning, according to police.
Officers say they arrived at Cherry Hill Homes, a public housing development of two-story rowhomes, around 3:40 a.m. and found two 21-year-old men suffering from gunshot wounds.
According to a news release, medical personnel pronounced Tyriel Simms dead at the scene, while first responders took the other man to a nearby hospital.
That man, whose identity was not released, is expected to survive.
The Baltimore Police Department is asking anyone with information to call detectives at 410-396-2100.
Hours earlier, officers responded to an unrelated shooting in Northeast Baltimore.

At about 12:40 a.m., police found a 34-year-old man with gunshot wounds in the 6900 block of Harford Road, a stretch of road with rowhomes on one side of the street and a strip of businesses on the other.
A news release said detectives believe the shooting is connected to an alleged robbery that took place earlier. Detectives asked anyone with information to call 410-396-2444.
