A Montgomery County man was arrested Monday after a woman exited his car during a traffic stop near Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport and told police the driver had handcuffed and kidnapped her.

Bryan Neal Gordon, 24, of Silver Spring, is being held without bond at the Jennifer Road Detention Center in Anne Arundel County, the Maryland Transportation Authority Police said in a news release. He is charged with false imprisonment, kidnapping and assault, in addition to traffic offenses.

Shortly after 9 a.m. Monday, an MDTA officer assigned to the airport detachment pulled over the driver of a Chevrolet Malibu for making an illegal U-turn near the intersection of West Nursery and Elm roads in Linthicum, the news release said.

MDTA Police investigators responded to the scene to conduct interviews and collect evidence, and Gordon was taken into custody.
