Montgomery County Police identified a Silver Spring man who died after a single-vehicle crash early Saturday morning.

John William Stacey, 28, was pronounced dead at a hospital following the incident, police said.

The crash occurred about 4:39 a.m. in the 11800 block of New Hampshire Avenue in Silver Spring, north of White Oak Library.

Stacey was driving a 2010 Mercedes northbound on New Hampshire Avenue when the vehicle struck a median curb near Tracey Drive, left the roadway and struck a tree.
