Two young adults are in the hospital battling life-threatening injuries after being shot in Rosedale early Tuesday, officials said.

Baltimore County Police said two people, ages 19 and 25, were both shot multiple times at Parham Circle in Rosedale around 2:05 a.m. Tuesday.

The pair were transported to a nearby hospital with life-threatening injuries, police said. Representatives from the Baltimore County Police Department did not share the relationship between the two individuals. Officials did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

There have been 12 homicides in Baltimore County this year, according to police crime data. One of the most recent double shootings in Baltimore County was that of two siblings, Steve Allen, 9, and Giovanna Myrie,15, in Gwynn Oak earlier this month. A 16-year-old was charged last week for their death.
