Four people — including a 3-year-old girl and a 19-year-old riding a scooter — died in acts of violence and traffic crashes across Baltimore on Saturday, turning it into one of the city’s deadliest days this month.

Around 1 p.m., a 14-year-old boy driving a vehicle stolen from a family member struck a 3-year-old girl in Baltimore, police said.

The girl later died.

The crash was reported in the 1800 block of West Pratt Street in the Carrollton Ridge neighborhood, according to a news release from the Baltimore Police Department.

Police said they found the girl suffering from life-threatening injuries and she was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

The driver left the scene, but police shared a description of the vehicle with other officers who eventually located it, according to the news release.

The 14-year-old driver was detained. The vehicle he was driving had been reported stolen by a relative just before the crash, police said.

Detectives are investigating.

Over an hour later in the Broadway East neighborhood, an SUV collided with a 19-year-old man who was riding a scooter in the 1700 block of North Washington Street.

The teenager was taken to the hospital and later died, police said. The driver of the SUV stayed at the scene.

Police are investigating.

Two homicides were also reported Saturday afternoon.

A 24-year-old man was shot and killed inside a business in the 5400 block of Park Heights Avenue in the Arlington neighborhood, officials said. The shooting was reported at 12:21 p.m. No arrests have been made.

Then, in the Harwood neighborhood, a 56-year-old woman was found with multiple lacerations to her body inside a home in the 400 block of East 25th Street around 1:40 p.m., officials said.

She was taken to the hospital, where she later died. Officers said they arrested a 50-year-old man while responding to the scene but are still investigating.
