A man suspected of fatally shooting a woman he was in a relationship with at a Catonsville home has died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said.

Baltimore County Police said Thursday that Sean Vanlandingham, 22, died Sunday. Police believe he killed 21-year-old Kaylie Logston two days earlier. Police are investigating the shooting as a murder-suicide.

Officers responded to a home on Hillside Road near a park in Catonsville around 3 p.m. May 14. They found Logston shot to death.

Police subsequently learned a man they considered a suspect in Logston’s death had shot himself at a parking garage in the 10000 block of Wincopin Circle in Columbia. Police confirmed Thursday the deceased suspect was Vanlandingham.

This is the second murder-suicide investigated by county police this year.

Paul Waclawski, 80, and his wife, Shirley Waclawski, 73, were found shot at their home in the 9000 block of Tammy Road on the morning of April 24.

There were two murder-suicides in Baltimore County last year. A woman, man and child died in Catonsville in August, and Gary and Karen Franklin, 63 and 59 respectively, died in their Owings Mills home in April.
