Baltimore Police arrested a man they believe is responsible for a series of flashing incidents in Canton.
The man, identified as 49-year-old Jason S. Morgan, was taken into custody at a residence in Harford County on Tuesday and transported to the local detention center. He has been charged with three counts of indecent exposure.
Despite the arrest, detectives are continuing their investigation to determine whether Morgan may be connected to additional incidents, police said.
Samantha Pollitt, 36, said she contacted authorities after an unidentified man exposed himself to her about seven times between June and July.
The man, she said, would roam South Ellwood Avenue naked, stop when he saw her, and expose his genitalia. Over the weeks, his behavior grew increasingly alarming as he began masturbating in the street.
When Pollitt posted about the naked man in a neighborhood Facebook group, others wrote to her about their own experiences. Some said he frequented Canton streets for years doing the same thing.
Pollitt’s last encounter with the man was last Thursday. On Saturday, police told her they had identified the suspect and were searching for him.
“The biggest support I’ve had is from the neighborhood,” she said. “I didn’t even know it would have as much traction as it has. I was just putting it out there so like people would be safe.”
