What forecasters are saying

After Sunday’s storms delayed the Orioles game at Camden Yards and raised concerns about flash flooding, wet weather across the state continues. A stalled frontal boundary means there’s a chance of daily afternoon showers and thunderstorms throughout the week, according to the National Weather Service.

However, threats of flooding are down from Sunday, said NWS meteorologist Brendon Rubin-Oster. Marylanders east of I-95 should be on the lookout for rainfall from this afternoon until sundown.

There will be a break from the rain on Tuesday, but by Wednesday, showers will be back.

Heading into the weekend, temperatures are expected to reach the low 90s, with the humidity making it feel somewhere between 95 and 100 degrees.

“It’s nothing atypical for summer,” Rubin-Oster said, adding that Marylanders don’t have to worry about facing last month’s scorching heat.
