Two 25-year-old DJs didn’t see the city as a hopping place for their generation to enjoy the popular house music culture. So they created a scene of their own.

The entertainment calendar in Annapolis starts to pick up in the seven days through Jan. 24, with three new art exhibits, fresh theater productions, a first album release by an Annapolis singer-songwriter and a nostalgia tour from Three Dog Night.

Ice skating, viewing a classic John Ford movie or celebrating Twelfth Night are among the activities in Annapolis for the week starting Jan. 4.
