    Brothers killed in apparent murder-suicide in Columbia, Howard County Police say
    A 25-year-old man and his 15-year-old brother are dead in an apparent murder-suicide, Howard County Police say.

    On July 21, 2022, Shanteari Weems drove from Baltimore County to Washington, D.C., and shot her husband, James, twice after learning of allegations that he had sexually abused children at her day care in Owings Mills. "I just literally just snapped," Weems recalled in an interview with The Baltimore Banner.
    Shanteari Weems is serving a four-year sentence for aggravated assault and carrying a pistol without a license.
