The Ravens will have another busy Day 3 in next month’s NFL draft.

The team was awarded an NFL-high four compensatory picks Monday for its losses in free agency last offseason, giving general manager Eric DeCosta four selections in the fifth round and 10 overall.

The picks are compensation for the departure of cornerback Brandon Stephens (fifth round), offensive lineman Patrick Mekari (fifth round), cornerback Tre’Davious White (seventh round) and offensive lineman Josh Jones (seventh round). Teams that lose “more or better” free agents than they sign are eligible for the picks, according to the NFL. The league determines which teams receive them using a formula that accounts for a player’s salary, playing time and postseason awards with his new team.
