Washington’s search for another star receiver is finally over.

Stefon Diggs, the four-time Pro Bowler, plans to sign with the Commanders, according to multiple reports.

He will pair with fellow Pro Bowler Terry McLaurin on the outside.

Washington has long been linked to Diggs this offseason. The Maryland native last played for New England in 2025, helping the Patriots make a run to the Super Bowl.

Before that, he starred for both the Vikings and the Bills, leading the league in targets, receptions and receiving yards in 2020. He played at the University of Maryland and graduated from Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland.

Now 32, Diggs is not viewed as a sure-fire No. 1 receiver. But as a secondary option, he will immediately elevate Washington’s passing offense.

After last year’s frustrating 5-12 campaign, there was a push to surround Daniels with more weapons. But in training camp, the pass catching corps was relatively thin.

Washington was relying on journeyman like Treylon Burks, Dyami Brown and Van Jefferson to step up. Former third-round pick Luke McCaffrey, traditionally a slot receiver, has been one of their more dynamic playmakers in camp.

With the Diggs addition, Washington also has insurance if McLaurin gets hurt. Last year, he missed seven games due to quad and ankle injuries.
