Voters will cast the first in-person ballots of 2026 when Maryland’s eight-day early voting period for its primary opens today at 7 a.m.

Maryland voters will choose nominees for governor, eight U.S. House seats, all 188 members of the General Assembly and local offices like county executive and council, state’s attorney and register of wills.

About 1 in 6 ballots cast during the 2022 primary came during early voting.
