The technology company Cloudforce, which has created an artificial intelligence product used at some leading public universities in the U.S. and England, is expanding in Prince George’s County.

Cloudforce is roughly doubling the footprint of its National Harbor headquarters by leasing an additional 15,000 square feet of office space, according to a recent announcement from Gov. Wes Moore.

The company, which Microsoft named its global Education Partner of the Year in 2025, created the artificial intelligence platform nebulaONE, which has been adopted at the University of Maryland and the University of Oxford, among other institutions.

Husein Sharaf, Cloudforce’s founder and CEO, said his company considered expanding in another state and conducted a national search.

But, he said in a statement, “we chose to double down here instead, because we’d rather strengthen the place that helped build us than start over somewhere new.”

Prince George’s County Executive Aisha Braveboy said that Maryland is home to the schools, entrepreneurs and workers that can lead the next era of artificial intelligence.

“Their work with the University of Maryland and Prince George’s Community College, their commitment to training local talent, and their global leadership in AI are exactly the kind of innovation ecosystem we need to grow,” Braveboy said of Cloudforce in a statement.

State and local governments have already laid out incentives to help the company expand.

Cloudforce is eligible for a $1.25 million conditional loan through Advantage Maryland, a state program through which companies can qualify for grants, loans and investments to help cover economic development projects.

The Prince George’s County Economic Development Corp. has also offered a $125,000 loan through its Economic Development Incentive Fund, which has been advertised as “the fuel needed to rev the County’s economic engine.”

Ingrid Watson, who leads the county’s Economic Development Corp., said in a statement that Cloudforce’s expansion “reflects the confidence innovative technology companies have in our business environment.”
