The left-field wall at Camden Yards is being moved — again. How many more homers could batters hit?
Over three seasons, the 2022 changes to the left-field wall took away 137 home runs, according to Statcast. The Orioles are adjusting after they "overcorrected," hoping for a more balanced ballpark.
Orioles center fielder Cedric Mullins and left fielder Austin Hays chase a double by the Seattle Mariners’ Jesse Winker in 2022, the first season of the deeper left-field wall at Camden Yards.
Jon Meoli: Tyler O’Neill raises the Orioles’ offensive ceiling by strengthening a strength
O’Neill is a hard-contact merchant who walks a decent amount but also has some swing and miss to his game.
Tyler O’Neill had a 1.026 OPS against lefties with a .425 weighted on-base average in 2021, his breakout season.

Kyle Goon: Assessing the best and worst moves by Ravens GM Eric DeCosta
A shrinking margin for error is the biggest problem for a well-respected Baltimore front office. Although its wins have been big, its mistakes have loomed large, too.
The Ravens have taken steps forward, especially on the offensive side. But the vaunted defense has lost its luster and the special teams are no longer a strength.
Jon Meoli: What if the Orioles have to get creative to add the right-handed bat they covet?
The Orioles have a number of routes to choose from if they don’t land one of the top free agents.

If you think the Baltimore native five-star recruit is the only thing to be excited about, think again.
Derik Queen is the primary reason the Terps looks like a contender — but there's also evidence that Kevin Willard can thrive in the new NIL era if Maryland can keep pace financially.
