    After South Baltimore’s mass shooting, tough questions met with big promises
    Maryland Gov. Wes Moore visited the Brooklyn neighborhood Tuesday, where he other officials answered for what some residents called a lack of resources until tragedy struck.

    From new athletic fields to a repaired gazebo, Baltimore’s historic Riverside Park get a makeover
    When finished, the revamped 17-acre park will include a multipurpose field, a new softball diamond with regulation-sized walls in right field, and new basketball and pickleball courts.

    As Baltimore Pride ends, Homeland neighborhood sign vandalized with anti-gay slur
    The ‘e’ in the hand-carved, wooden sign situated at the corner of Charles Street and St. Albans Way was taped over and replaced with a spray-painted ‘o’.
    The Homeland sign near Loyola University, defaced with a slur at some point following the 2023 Baltimore Pride Parade on June 24, was temporarily patched up by the following afternoon.
    Claudia Towles was arrested protesting BGE. She missed her own campaign kickoff for City Council as a result.
    She was arrested in Federal Hill earlier that day while protesting a move by BGE to shut off gas service at several homes that refused to let contractors install external gas regulators.
