Outdoor movies are back
Friday from 6:30-9:30 p.m.
Cabin John Village’s monthly Movies on the Green series is back. BYO picnic blankets or lawn chairs for the outdoor movie viewing — this week, it’s “Finding Dory.” Future showings include “Encanto,” “The Parent Trap,” “Toy Story,” “Hotel Transylvania” and “Mamma Mia!”

Celebrate Audrey Hepburn’s birthday
Friday through Thursday, times vary
In honor of what would have been film icon Audrey Hepburn’s 97th birthday this week, AFI Silver presents a special showing of her 1963 rom-com/thriller “Charade,” co-starring Cary Grant. Showtimes vary, with a mix of matinees and evening showings.
Tickets range from $8 to $14.
Yoga and gardening for kids
Saturday from 10-10:45 a.m.
Brookside Gardens welcomes grown-ups and their little ones (ages 3-9) for Yoga Sprouts!, an outdoor class featuring garden-related yoga movement.
Admission is $7.
Train Day
Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
The Gaithersburg Community Museum’s latest event in its Discovery Days series is all about trains. This family-friendly gathering features model trains, crafts, railroad music and the chance to watch real trains in motion. Note: Visitors under 15 must be accompanied by an adult.
Admission is free; reservations not required.
Takoma Flea
Saturday from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
Takoma Park welcomes shoppers to Takoma Flea on Grant Avenue, where vendors will sell vintage clothing, jewelry, records, home decor, furniture and more. Nearby lunch options include Soko Butcher, Seoul Food, Cielo Rojo, Spring Mill Bread Co. and Cheros Grill.
Admission is free.
Bethesda Fine Arts Festival
Saturday from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m.-5 p.m.
The Bethesda Fine Arts Festival returns to Woodmont Triangle for a display of artistic works by 120 artists from around the country. Music acts are also scheduled throughout both days, and food will be sold from BabyCat Brewery, Bethesda Curry Kitchen, California Tortilla and The Red Bandana Bakery.
Admission is free; public parking is available in the garage on Auburn Avenue.
A NASA-themed live concert film
Sunday at 3:30 p.m.
The Music Center at Strathmore hosts the world premiere of a space-themed film accompanied by a live orchestra. “Beyond Earth: A Celestial Odyssey” features images from the NASA archives alongside music from Capital Classical Concerts, conducted by Piotr Gajewski.
Tickets range from $10-$90.
