Drivers in Baltimore should get ready for another weekend of heavy traffic and road closures as the 44th annual Baltimore Washington One Carnival welcomes thousands to celebrate Caribbean culture.

The three-day event begins Friday and will feature live performances, arts and craft vendors, and plenty of Caribbean cuisine. Festivities will primarily be held in Druid Hill Park, and there will be road closures throughout the weekend.

A Caribbean-style parade will travel through the city Saturday. Participants will set up along Druid Park Drive between Reisterstown Road and Liberty Heights Avenue. Things will start from there at noon, and they are expected to wrap up on East Drive at 3 p.m.

During the parade, all entrances to Druid Hill Park will close from noon-3 p.m. They will reopen when the parade ends.
