Attman’s Delicatessen to arrive at BWI Airport next year

New eats will be landing at BWI.

Attman’s Delicatessen, a staple of Baltimore’s Corned Beef Row, will open a branch at Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport next year, said owner Marc Attman.

Attman said the BWI eatery will be in the airport’s B Terminal and offer breakfast, lunch and dinner, including its specialties like the Cloak and Dagger sandwich and Baltimore-style hot dog.

The restaurant will be the first delicatessen ever at the Anne Arundel County airport, according to Attman. His family’s 111-year-old brand also has a presence at Oriole Park at Camden Yards, as well as a sports bar in Harbor Point.

Attman is hoping for an opening in May 2027. More new restaurant arrivals are likely en route as BWI revamps its food and beverage offerings. Last year, Fraport USA, a subsidiary of a German transport company, won a 23-year contract to manage the Baltimore airport’s retail concessions.

A spokesman for Fraport USA did not respond to a request for comment, but CEO Sabine Trenk said last year that the company would focus on cultivating a ”strong local identity” and would be collaborating with a range of local as well as international partners.

Attman said he hopes to expand at the other local airports managed by Fraport USA, Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport and Dulles International Airport.

Current BWI vendors with Baltimore connections include Phillips Seafood, Miss Shirley’s, The Greene Turtle, Ledo Pizza and Nalley Fresh.
