All lanes on the Baltimore Beltway have reopened after a manure spill backed up traffic on the outer loop for several hours Wednesday.
A tractor trailer was hauling manure on the interstate when the load shifted and spilled, according to Maryland State Police.
The Maryland State Highway Administration responded to the scene around 7:30 a.m., said Shanteé Felix, a spokesperson for the department.
All lanes of the outer loop before the exit for Loch Raven Boulevard were closed, according to the SHA, with just the left shoulder open. Traffic cameras showed a backup stretching several miles and ending just past the Belair Road exit.
Maryland State Police said they assisted at the scene. No one was injured, police said.
