Ten people, including three children, were hospitalized after a moving truck lost control and collided with at least 10 vehicles on the highway, officials said.
The crash happened around 1:43 p.m. Saturday on Columbia Pike and Fairland Road, the Montgomery County Police Department said in a post. Police said no one suffered life-threatening injuries.
About 18 people were evaluated at the scene, said David Pazos, a spokesperson with Montgomery County Fire and Rescue.
Part of the scene was cleared to allow vehicles to pass around 3:18 p.m., he added.
Photos of the scene shared by officials showed the front of the moving truck crushed, vehicles flipped on their sides and a Tesla Cybertruck that was split in half.
