A teenager was killed inside a Baltimore home on Friday evening during a “targeted” shooting, police said.
Officers arrived at the house on the 1400 block of West Old Cold Spring Lane at 6:25 p.m. Friday, according to a news release from the Baltimore Police Department.
When they entered the Medfield neighborhood home, police found a young man suffering from a gunshot wound, according to the release.
The teenager was unconscious and unresponsive, police said. He was taken to Sinai Hospital, where he died later. Investigators did not immediately release his name.
James D. Moses, a spokesperson for the Baltimore Police Department, said in an email that this was “a targeted incident that occurred inside a home.”
Police do not believe that there is a danger to the public, he said.
The incident is being investigated as a homicide.
This is the 23rd homicide in Baltimore this year, which is slightly above the anumber of homicides that occurred at the same time in 2025.
