If you’re still on the Labubu train in Maryland, a new destination is coming soon.
Pop Mart, the Chinese store known for the freaky little monsters, blind boxes and other collectibles, is scheduled to open a store in the Annapolis Mall this September.
This will be the second full-scale Pop Mart in Maryland, according to the company’s website. One in Towson opened in May. There is a temporary store at The Mall in Columbia, and a few malls throughout the state have Pop Mart vending machines.
Mall officials listed other stores opening this year, including:
- Aéropostale, a teen apparel store, is scheduled to open in June
- Abercrombie & Fitch, a contemporary clothing store aimed at young adults, is scheduled to open in November
- Miss A, a beauty supply shop, is scheduled to open in September
- A Tesla dealership and service center is scheduled to open in November
- Offline by Aerie, an activewear store, is scheduled to open this summer
That’s in addition to other new tenants that the mall announced last year, including the second Uniqlo location in the greater Baltimore region. And in a Facebook post earlier this week, mall officials said they would be announcing more stores soon. Dozens of vacancies remain on the shopping center’s map.
The Annapolis Mall, formerly called the Westfield Mall, opened in 1980.
The 1.3-million-square-foot mall and its 55 acres were acquired last year by Centennial and Atlas Hill RE for $160 million, according to state property records.
