A man was found dead from a gunshot inside a vehicle early Sunday in Hyattsville, authorities said.

Officers responding to a reported shooting discovered the man around 4:15 a.m. on the 2200 block of Lewisdale Drive, a residential street lined with single-family homes, Prince George’s County Police said.

The man, who police have not identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police continue investigating the circumstances leading up to the shooting.
