A person pulled from a fire that happened over the weekend in Baltimore has died from their injuries.

The person, who has not yet been identified, succumbed to injuries after being pulled from a trailer fire that broke out just before 10:30 p.m. Saturday on the 1600 block of Retreat Street.

Initial reports indicated two people were in the trailer when the blaze erupted. Fire officials said the second person remained hospitalized as of Monday.

Khalilah Yancey, a spokeswoman for the Baltimore City Fire Department, said there were no additional details available. The department’s investigation of the fire is ongoing.

There have been a handful of fatal fires in Baltimore this year. A deadly blaze in the Barclay neighborhood claimed the life of a woman in May. Before that, community members mourned the loss of a child and a 65-year-old man in two separate rowhome fires in Upton.
