A 72-year-old man was hit by a car on Friday night in Baltimore County and died, police said.
The man, Peter Ruy, was hit at the intersection of Harford Road and 5th Avenue in Parkville around 8 p.m. on Friday, according to a Baltimore County Police news release.
Ruy was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said. The vehicle that hit Ruy was a 2011 Lexus.
The crash is under investigation, but it is not being investigated as a hit-and-run.
This is the sixth fatal pedestrian crash in Baltimore County this year. It comes one week after a 78-year-old pedestrian was killed in a crash in Dundalk.
