Police responded to a fatal crash in Northern Baltimore County on Wednesday afternoon, officials said.
The Baltimore County Police Department posted that Mount Carmel Road near Hereford was shut down between Miller Lane and Interstate 83 as officers responded.
It was not immediately clear how many fatalities or injuries there were or how many vehicles were involved.
The two-lane road is in a rural and residential area near the Gunpowder State Park Trails.
The fatal crash comes days after a 69-year-old man was killed in a hit-and-run in Baltimore County.
Baltimore County had the second-most crash fatalities in Maryland last year — more than 60. According to state data, there have been 13 crash fatalities in Baltimore County this year, second only to Montgomery County’s 14.
