The Baltimore Animal Rescue and Care Shelter said it’s in “crisis” after more than 100 animals were dropped off at the center in the past two days.

The shelter said in a Facebook post on Friday evening that it has no space left for dogs, and it would need to make “heartbreaking choices for space” if people did not come to adopt or foster dogs this weekend. About 60 of the more than 100 animals that came to the shelter were dropped off on Friday.

“Our kennels are full. Our intake temp kennels are full. Our offices are full. There is no more place to put our dogs,” the post said.

In their post, BARCS added that another Animal Control truck full of animals was on the way on Friday night to their building in Cherry Hill. A majority of the animals dropped off in the past two days were dogs, and the shelter said it is most in need of people willing to adopt or foster big dogs.
