A Prince George’s County man was arrested in connection with a road rage shooting that left a man injured in Anne Arundel County on Wednesday, according to Maryland State Police.
Darius Bryant, 21, was arrested in Washington, D.C., and charged with attempted murder shortly after the shooting on the Baltimore-Washington Parkway (I-295) around 7:30 a.m.
Police said a man was driving a white Dodge van when he was shot on the driver’s side while on the parkway in Anne Arundel County. A passenger was also in the car at the time.
The man drove himself to a nearby medical center and was taken to a local trauma center for treatment, officials said. He was able to provide police with a description of the suspect’s vehicle and dashcam video.
The suspect’s vehicle was found by U.S. Park Police around 8:40 a.m. in the District of Columbia, and and the driver was identified as Bryant.
Police found a loaded firearm during a search of the vehicle. A dispensed shell casing was also found at the scene of the shooting, authorities said.

Bryant is being processed in Washington and will be extradited to Maryland, police said.
The incident prompted substantial police activity and shut down northbound lanes of I-295 at MD-175 in Anne Arundel County, officials said late Wednesday morning. Lanes have since been reopened.
