Baltimore Police on Thursday identified a woman whose body was found in the Jones Falls underneath the Howard Street Bridge earlier this week.

The body of Karin Solomon, 61, was found in the water by a citizen, police said. Officers pulled Solomon’s body from the water around 12:30 p.m. Monday and transported her to the Maryland Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.

Detectives don’t suspect foul play, Niki Fennoy, a spokesperson for the Baltimore Police Department, said in an email. The chief medical examiner’s office did not share the cause and manner of Solomon’s death and said the case is still pending.

Solomon’s body was recovered just a week after 27-year-old Branson Oduor’s was found dead in the Inner Harbor. The Montgomery County man who had been living in Baltimore had been missing since the early hours of April 4 after leaving The Horse You Came In On Saloon.

Oduor’s disappearance sparked a search that culminated with police pulling his body from the Inner Harbor on the morning of April 14. His death reignited talks about waterfront safety, even yielding a petition that’s gotten around 2,700 signatures.
